7 Amazing Mood Boosters

It has been one hell of a year. From the pandemic to unforeseen weather conditions to police brutality to crazy political events, among other things. And I'm sure like me, you went through a ton of moods every single day.

There were days where one minute I was in an amazing mood because I had nothing to complain about. Then there were days where I felt the complete opposite and I had no clue why. Then I would get stuck in that mood the entire day.

And I hated being stuck in one of those low vibrational moods because it would then affect my work and my attitude toward everyone. And one thing I do not like is sharing a bad mood, I would rather be miserable alone.

So at some point I decided to start being intentional about getting out of these shitty moods.

Here are 7 amazing mood boosters that can help improve your mood almost instantly; number 7 is my favorite!

  1. Taking a relaxing shower

    1. For me taking a shower is an entire cleansing ritual that we need no matter the time of day. As I shower I inhale the goodness and exhale all the bullshit.

  2. Mindful meditation

    1. Sometimes we just need to quiet our minds and just listen. Sometimes stillness is all that we need.

  3. Get some sunlight

    1. We all need that Vitamin D. My doctor recently told me the best way to get it is to go outside with as little clothes as possibly legal and get some natural Vitamin D. Yes, she said it just like that LOL.

  4. Write a positive note to yourself

    1. If you know have been following me for a while, then you know I'm 100% for this. Sometimes we need someone smart, beautiful and kind to send us a good pick me upper. Sometimes that person is YOU! (wink)

  5. Dance

    1. It's something about dancing that just does something to your body. It's like it's releasing unwanted energy and just feeling the good energies of the music. For me, I put on Mary J. Blidge x Just Fine and just dance!

  6. Say mood boosting affirmations

    1. As you know affirmations are a way tp begin shifting your mindset and your belief. This booster is great if you have a tendency to fall into the same mood consistently.

  7. Smile at yourself

    1. This is my favorite. I absolutely love to smile and I love to laugh. I personally think that I have a great smile and so it cheers me up. I usually smile at myself and say something like, "Girl you're so f*cking dope" then smile again and wink at myself.

There are many other ways that you can boost your mood but these are my top favorites.
